Dan and Dani
The wedding will be taking place in just outside of Medellin, Colombia, at Aguas Claras.

Our Story
Our love story began in London, back in 2019. We were working in Harrow at the same primary school, working in rooms that were separated by only a thin wall. Due to the nature of our job, we spent most of every day seeing and talking to each other under the guise of 'what are you doing next with your class?'. This allowed a bond to develop extremely quickly and we soon developed a strong friendship.
After several months of working together it was clear to all, except us, that there was something much stronger than friendship developing and after knowing each other for five months, and finally figuring out how to tell the other our feelings, we started dating.
This, unfortunately was right before the world was plunged into the chaos that was COVID19. We had only been officially dating for a month, and without a clear end to lockdown in sight, we did not want to put an abrupt halt to our new found relationship and we took a huge risk, deciding to spend the first two weeks of lockdown together. These two weeks turned into months, and then years, and after getting engaged in Iceland in February of 2022, we are ready for the next chapter of our lives together.

Travel & Stay
Getting to Colombia
We are so lucky to have many of you coming from overseas. When planning your Colombia trip you may be wondering, where do I land? The international airport in Medellin is called Jose Maria Cordova and is actually in Rionegro. Once you arrive at the airport, there are many ways to get to the city: taxis, buses, Uber, small buses. We recommend you take a taxi as it is the easier option and still very affordable. A taxi to El Poblado should cost about 90,000COP (18EUR/26CAD) and is about a 25 - 30 minute ride.
Please let us know when you have booked your flights.
Getting to the venue
Our venue is a beautiful hacienda nestled in the Andes mountains about a 45 minute drive from El Poblado (the area in Medellin where we suggest you stay). We are working with our wedding planner to provide transport on the day of the event so please check back as we update details.
Where to Stay
Medellin is a huge travelling hub with plenty of amazing lodging options. For those of you travelling from afar, we suggest you book accommodations as soon as possible. August is a busy travelling month and Medellin becomes the travel choice of many. In addition, a popular flower festival takes over the city. It will be an amazing time to visit but requires careful planning. We have gathered some options for you and narrowed it down to the best areas in the city. Take a look and choose what fits best with your needs.
Frequently Asked Questions & Answers
Can I bring a date/plus 1?
Due to the nature of an international wedding we are not able to host plus ones. Please check your invite as it will include the names of those who we have invited. We appreciate your understanding with this.
When should I arrive in Colombia?
We can't wait to welcome you all in Medellin! For those of you flying from Europe, we suggest you arrive by July 28th to give yourself enough time to overcome the jetlag.
What is the dress code?
Our dresscode is a mix between cocktail and tropical attire. Women are welcome to wear knee length dresses/dress pants that make you comfortable. Men a nice dressshirt. No jackets necessary.
What will the weather be like?
The weather in Medellin can range from 18 degrees to 28. August is typically hot and therefore you can assume the weather will be dry and hot. We can't promise this will be the case though so check before packing your suitcase. For this reason, we have made our dresscode match more of a tropical vibe than a formal event.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The venue has no closed spaces though the areas are all covered.
Will there be parking available?
If you decide to drive, there is plenty of parking at the venue. We do request that you inform us if you are not taking the transportation we are providing.
Can I bring my kids?
We love children and have made our careers revolve around them but no, we will not allow any children at this event.
What is the currency in Colombia?
Colombian Pesos. All major credit cards are widely accepted and we suggest you limit the amount of cash you carry.
What food will you be serving?
Food will consist of canapes, a sit down, catered meal and dessert table. Midnight snacks will also be provided for those late night cravings. We will update food options at a later date. Please refer to our RSVP to inform us of any dietary needs.
More importantly, will alcohol be served?
Yes. We will be providing alcohol in the form of beer, wine, and signature cocktails.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please let us know if you will be joining us by April 30th, 2023.
Do you have a hotel block for guests?
At this time we have not made any arrangements with hotels due to the different times guests will arrive in the city. We have shared suggestions of where to stay for you to pick what suits you best.
Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
We love photos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony as we'd like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding we encourage lots of photo taking and ask that you share by tagging our socia media accounts. Please wait to share photos of the bride and groom until after we have shared the photos ourselves.
Any other questions you may have can be answered over email or text.
